When Percy Met Audrey, Part 3
Feb. 3rd, 2009 06:21 pmA/N: I've been writing much more of the ending of this story, and rather ignoring the middle, which is delaying posting a bit. Today I continued on from part 2, became a bit stuck again, then realized I had a 100 word drabble. So without further ado, part 3.
Parts 1 & 2
Percy had had a smile on his face all day. It was hard to believe one chaste kiss could make him this happy. Nothing at work bothered him; he just kept thinking that he would be having dinner with Audrey. When he saw his father in the hallway, he didn’t speed up or duck into the loo or hide or ignore him. He looked him in the eye and said, “Hello, Father.”
“Hello, Percy,” Arthur responded with surprise.
Percy continued walking down the corridor. It wasn’t much, but it was a start. Percy would be sure to tell Audrey tonight.

Date: 2009-04-11 02:09 am (UTC)I can see Percy walking a little jauntily here, with a bounce in his step, as he continues on down the corridor, with Arthur watching him, totally confused by the turnaround. If I were an artist, I'd draw it (seriously, the picture is so clear in my head!), but alas, I have no talent in that field.
